Never tried scuba diving before? A first-time diving experience gives you an introduction to the equipment and basic safety before heading into the water with an instructor.
Already certified? Guided shore and boat dives are available at different sites around Madeira, with the location chosen according to your experience, interests and conditions on the day.
More experienced divers can also explore wrecks and other speciality sites where their certification and recent diving experience are suitable.

Pickup & meeting
Diving takes place at different locations around Madeira, with both shore and boat dives available.
Where you meet will depend on the dive you choose, and we’ll send you the exact location and arrival time beforehand.
If any transport arrangements are available for your dive, we’ll confirm those with you as well.
Requirements & restrictions
- No previous diving experience is needed for first-time dives
- Certified dives require a suitable diving certification
- Minimum age and participation requirements vary depending on the dive
- Always follow your instructor’s safety guidance in and out of the water
- Let us know about any medical conditions that could affect diving
- Scuba diving is not suitable during pregnancy
- Allow sufficient time between your last dive and flying
